Go Cats!!!

Ages ago, my friends gave me this fabric and I have finally had a go at making something with it. A mini quilt to go on my mini quilt wall - just like Lucy Lockett (more on that later)

A lovely sunny day here today - quite hot actually. Wanted to do gardening, but friends came over for the footy grand final, so while they watched that, I sneaked to the sewing room and worked on my red and white quilt. (more later)
I have made up some new packs of cards - 3 designs, 2 of each and will put them in my
Etsy Shop.

. . . and some lovely flowers from my Flowergarden

Flying to Billy

It's hard to believe that I have been all the way to Sydney Town...and back again. Mr Flowergarden and I have had a night in the Big City Bright Lights. We went to see Billy Elliot where my brother in law is dancing in the chorus. It was an amazing show. I've only been to Sydney a couple of times, so seeing these sights still is quite exciting for me.
-The Sydney Opera House-

. . . and The Sydney Harbour Bridge!

Air travel is fantastic - yesterday in Sydney, and today back in my Flowergarden.

Bag Swap Sharing

As my bag is safely engulfed in the postal system, I can now unveil the item that was sent. I have had the fun of recieving mine and just hope that the recipient of this one is happy. Thanks to Linda for organising the swap and giving such pleasure around the world.

I have had an order for some Dick and Jane cushions, and was not sure whether to do the cream or the white. I made a pair of both and whichever ones are chosen, I will put the others in my new Etsy Shop. Holidays are here for 2 weeks, so . . . YEAHHHHHHHHH

Bag Swap Arrives

What lovely writing paper, and look at those cute cats!

A very excited me went to the Post Office this week to pick up a parcel. It was "international" so I was getting excited that it was going to be the Bag Swap . . . and it was. My lovely parner The TomBoy Princess had gone to a lot of effort and made these 2 beautiful buckets for me....but that was not all. She had also included a present to our darling Nellie the cat. She made this amazing bag with crinckly stuff inside the lining so it makes a sound when pussy climbs in it. In the bag were some amazing cat toys that Nellie instantly began playing with.
There were also some American chocs and Halloween treats and I felt very spoilt. Thanks so much Abby for being a wonderful swap partner.

Oh, and an oven mit with a map and some lovely fabric pieces - lucky me!

Etsy

I've put my toe in the water with my "flower cards" my Etsy Shop is OPEN - hoping someone will be interested in buying some. They are some of my favourite pics.
I had a little boy in Grade One who got this little doggy in Lucky Dip. He's in Grade 5 this year and comes to me each time he needs a running repair. This time it was his head coming apart from his body, so I have attached a permanent scarf and a little bell. He has previously had, new snout, new nose, new ears, and new tongue.

Wet washing windy weather

Despite the windy windy weather today, I managed to snap these beauties to share with you. It does increase the time it takes to hang out the washing, but I just love seeing these gorgeous flowers, and a little bit of sunshine too.

Buckets

After seeing Ric Rac's georgous little girl bucket last weekend, I just had to make one myself with a "Cookie" that was hiding in the cupboard. They are just a little addictive . . .
on another note, I have joined another blog called Snappy Friends. Sneak over and have a look and enjoy the gallery of photos.
