First day of Spring

The humble wallflower is vivid in my garden at the moment
Very excited about this bud.  First time for this plant which I'm not even sure of it's name.  Does anyone know?
This reminds me of Cardygirl
So happy and carefree in my garden, just coming back year after year.
. . . and a white japonica mixed in with the red.   I love it!
Lots of these beauties
and the fruit trees just starting to flower.  This one will turn into white flesh peaches next season.  Yum!  Welcome to Spring!

Around the Block

I have finished my first blocks ready to be sent off for the Quilt A Long (Around The Block) that I have joined.  If anyone can help me with putting a button on my side bar, I would appreciate it.  I will put these in the post today.
Spring is definitely in the air here
My first Prunis Elvins buds opened yesterday
This is my favourite blossom tree of them all.  It's fully out on my daughter's birthday so we call it her "Birthday Blossom"

Dizzy with choice

For lots of links, see Chookyblue's posts about the Show
Level 4 of the Stitches and Craft Show in Sydney was my favourite place to be last weekend
Spinning around in the washing machine is a host of beautiful new fabrics from clever clever girls
I can't wait to feel a bit better to play with all this new "stuff"
I feel dizzy with choice - the possibilities are endless
Thanks to all the crafty gals who made me feel "part of the gang"

Sydney

A weekend roller coaster ride with Ric Rac - interstate, meeting bloggers, fabric feasting
Was that really the bridge I could see from the Race Coarse at Stitches and Craft?
2 Chooks - home - and a long way from Sydney Town.
. . . tired now and made it to school this morning (just)

All in a day's work . . .

Australian Art and Craft Day at school last week, so I decided we would make a giant EMU
4 Grades worth of hands and some old tights
You just missed seeing them here, but I was wrapped with the pine cone toes we found in the carpark.  They were just the ticket for Emu toes.

Despite the wind . . .

I spent a day in my garden.  Lots of weeding and a few extensions of beds to include the poppies that were growing in the lawn - they're now in the garden!!
My prize Echium (again!)

Some beautiful Jonquils
Blossoms beginning to show everywhere I turn - I love them

A happy day

"Keepin' it REEL"

After finally biting the bullet and making a home for my crotchet hooks, I forgot to take into account the seam allowances and they just don't fit!!!  Oh, well, nothing like a dry run.  Back to the drawing board.
