Winter = Yarn Time

 Due to the cold weather and the close proximity to my Knitting Machine Queen of a Mother, I have been taking lessons and getting to know my knitting machine.
 I'm getting pretty good at casting on, with lots of unpicking going on.
 I've experimented with some pattern cards, and made some scarves.
 Last weekend, mum introduced me to making lace - I was quite taken with this.  Below is a scarf I made for my neighbour.
 In between all the knitting, I made some new cushions for my bed and put my bright quilt on for the Winter to brighten things up a bit.
 Then back to experimenting with the Lace Cards.  I tried quite a few and took photos so I could attach the to the cards so I know what all those little dots mean.

 I really liked this one below, as I thought it looked a bit like cable knitting, so I cast on with some soft baby wool . . .
 . . . and made myself a neck warmer!
 With mum's help, we made this lovely scarf for our Cousin Tony, who turned 50 last week.  We all went out to dinner at the Princes Room at the oldest Hotel in Ballarat - It was VERY FANCY!
